David R. Wroblewski is the Managing Attorney of David Wroblewski & Associates P.C., AZ. Mr. Wroblewski attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he earned a B.A. in Economics in 1994 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Commencement Honors. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Golden Key National Honor Societies.
Mr. Wroblewski earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 1998, where he was inducted into the Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity and was an active member of the Latino Law Student Association. While in law school, he worked for and held a litigation internship with two prominent Chicago law firms.
After law school, Mr. Wroblewski started his legal career in Chicago, Illinois with a large plaintiff’s personal injury firm, where he was responsible for the litigation of numerous cases on behalf of individuals injured as a result of another’s negligence. He co-chaired trials before Chicago juries and arbitrated dozens of cases before three-member arbitration panels, earning favorable results.
Prior to forming his own firm, Mr. Wroblewski worked for Arizona’s largest criminal defense firm, and has over 10 years of criminal law experience, having handled hundreds of criminal law matters ranging from serious felony to misdemeanor offenses in federal and state courts. He has earned felony and misdemeanor not guilty jury trial verdicts.
Furthermore, Mr. Wroblewski is licensed to practice law in the States of Arizona and Illinois. He is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Wroblewski lived, worked, and studied in Mexico City, Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. He also lived and studied in Tres Coracoes, Brazil as an international exchange student.

Mark Benson is a trial attorney and member of our bankruptcy law department and criminal law department. Mr. Benson is an Arizona native, born at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. After graduating from Brophy College Preparatory, he attended both the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1987. He continued his studies in Eugene, Oregon, where he obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1991.
After graduation, Mr. Benson served as a Deputy Public Defender in Pinal County (Florence, Arizona) for eight years. In 2000, Mr. Benson accepted employment with the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office, which he continued until April of 2007. Thereafter, he joined our firm in September of 2007, working in the criminal law department. In 2009, Mr. Benson answered the call to help distressed homeowners by working in our residential home loan modification and bankruptcy law departments where he learned bankruptcy and debt negation law.
Mr. Benson is licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Mr. Benson has been practicing law for twenty years and currently limits his practice to bankruptcy law and criminal defense matters.

Martin A. Creaven is originally from New York where he graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in New York City. He has worked in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the New York Supreme Court. His practice focuses on bankruptcy, debt negotiation, DUI cases and criminal law. Mr. Creaven is licensed to practice law in Arizona.

Mr. Handler has dedicated his career to the defense of the accused. He has over twenty-two years of experience in Criminal Law. Mr. Handler has been a Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law since 1998, certified by the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization, and is also death penalty qualified.
Mr. Handler has won not guilty verdicts for clients charged with First Degree Murder, Manslaughter, Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Sexual Assault, Armed Robbery, Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage, Drug Possession and Aggravated DUI, just to name a few. His efforts have directly led to the dismissal of numerous serious felony cases.
Mr. Handler began his career with the City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office in 1988. Thereafter, he was a Deputy Public Defender for Maricopa County from 1990 to 1997. Prior to joining the firm, he was in private practice in Phoenix since 1997.
Mr. Handler currently is or has been a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice (AACJ) and the American Bar Association (ABA). Furthermore, he has served as a legal analyst for KFYI radio in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mr. Handler was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1961. After moving to Phoenix in 1975, he graduated from Central High School in 1979. Mr. Handler attended the University of Michigan and the University of Colorado before obtaining his law degree from the University of Arizona in 1987.

Ronald Hoffbauer is the Supervising Attorney of the Bankruptcy Department of David Wroblewski and Associates. Mr. Hoffbauer earned his Juris Doctor and graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in 1980. While in law school, Mr. Hoffbauer clerked for an insurance defense law firm. Upon graduation, he passed the bar examination and was admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa in 1980 and worked as a criminal defense attorney with the Public Defender's Office, focusing on helping juveniles with legal problems.
Mr. Hoffbauer relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1981 and was admitted to practice law in Arizona that same year. Afterward, Mr. Hoffbauer began to concentrate on representing clients in the filing of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Mr. Hoffbauer has now been practicing for more than thirty years.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hoffbauer served for the past twelve years as staff attorney for a Chapter 13 Trustee of the United States Bankruptcy Court in Phoenix, Arizona. During his time as a U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee staff attorney, Mr. Hoffbauer spoke at and sat on numerous panels for Continuing Legal Education Seminars, assisting other bankruptcy attorneys with the aim of making the bankruptcy process more efficient and better for their respective clients.
Mr. Hoffbauer is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the District of Arizona and before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Garrett Johnson is an attorney in the firm’s bankruptcy department. He attended law school at Phoenix School of Law in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2008. Mr. Johnson was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 2008. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, for the District of Arizona.
Prior to joining the firm he practiced immigration and personal injury law. His current practice is entirely devoted to bankruptcy, concentrating on Chapter 7 bankruptcies.
Mr. Johnson attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management in 2001. He grew up in West Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and lived overseas during his high school years, graduating from the International School of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Johnson worked in the travel industry, and has traveled extensively.

Larry Magid is a trial attorney and a member of our criminal law department and bankruptcy law department. Mr. Magid attended West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology in 1965. Thereafter, Mr. Magid earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey in 1968.
Mr. Magid has been practicing law for over forty years. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey in 1969 and in the State of Arizona in 1996. Mr. Magid is also admitted to practice law in various Federal Courts.
Mr. Magid was recognized as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court in 1982 and has practiced criminal law both as a prosecutor and defense attorney. As a trial attorney, Mr. Magid has represented numerous clients before Arizona juries in criminal and DUI jury trials. Mr. Magid has given specialized courses in various areas of criminal law and investigations for many agencies including the F.B.I. and D.E.A. He has taught criminal law and procedure for several years.
During his more than forty years of practice beginning in 1969, Mr. Magid also practiced as a civil litigation attorney and has experience in the areas of worker's compensation, personal injury, insurance coverage, domestic relations, and bankruptcy law. Thereafter, Mr. Mika earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 1980.
Mr. Mika has been practicing law for over thirty years. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois in 1980 and in the State of Arizona in 1983. Mr. Mika is also admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
During his more than thirty years of practice, Mr. Mika has represented numerous clients facing serious felony and misdemeanor criminal charges including DUI charges. As a trial attorney, Mr. Mika has represented many clients in criminal and DUI jury trials before Arizona juries.

Amanda Nelson is a member of the Bankruptcy Department at David Wroblewski & Associates, concentrating on Chapter 13 Bankruptcies. Amanda graduated from Gonzaga School of Law in Spokane, Washington in 2009 where she was Vice President of the Criminal Law Society, Political Action Committee Co-Chair for the Women’s Law Caucus and participated in Trial Advocacy. In addition, Amanda clerked at the Washington Attorney General’s Office in the area of Torts focusing on Employment Law, interned at Dickinson Law Firm focusing on Civil Litigation, and interned in the areas of Corporate Law, Criminal Defense and Personal Injury. Amanda enjoys snow skiing in the winter and spending time with her family.

Chad Schatz is an associate attorney in the firm’s Bankruptcy department. Mr. Schatz graduated from Creighton School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in 2008. While in law school Mr. Schatz became interested in solving legal disputes without litigation. This led him to pursue a Masters’ Degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Creighton’s Werner Institute for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. Mr. Schatz is a member of both the Missouri (currently inactive status) and Arizona bar. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, District of Arizona.
Mr. Schatz grew up on a small family farm in Billings, Missouri where he spent every summer working. Chad attended Missouri State where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While at Missouri State he played on the handball team which won the 2004 National Collegiate Handball Championship. Chad is still very active in sports; Chad spends his free time running and playing sand volleyball.

Michael Yucevicius is a trial attorney with the Firm. Mr. Yucevicius is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Purdue University in 1977 and subsequently worked as an auditor for the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, prior to enrolling in law school. Mr. Yucevicius graduated with honors from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1984.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Yucevicius practiced as a criminal defense attorney in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of New York City until 2004. As an attorney in New York, Mr. Yucevicius tried more than seventy-five criminal matters, ranging from misdemeanors to murder charges. Among the trials in which Mr. Yucevicius was involved were several high profile cases. In one such trial, Mr. Yucevicius achieved an acquittal in a murder case in which his client made a videotaped confession to the crime. In addition to numerous accomplishments as a criminal defense attorney in New York, Mr. Yucevicius also successfully represented several clients in civil lawsuits involving claims of police misconduct and civil rights violations.
Upon relocating to Arizona, Mr. Yucevicius has continued to successfully practice as a criminal defense attorney since 2004. He has aggressively represented clients in all facets of criminal matters, from the early stages of investigation by law enforcement authorities, through trial and post-conviction proceedings. Moreover, Mr. Yucevicius has defended clients in misdemeanor and serious felony cases in the federal courts and the state courts in virtually every county of Arizona.
